The Shure UA870 is an active UHF wireless directional antenna for Shure wireless systems. When compared to an omnidirectional 1/2-wave antenna, the Shure UA870's cardioid patterns offers enhanced reception of your desired coverage area and greater rejection of RF signals outside that area. An onboard amplifier compensates for coaxial cable signal loss, though the UA870 does require an appropriate Shure receiver or Antenna Distribution System to distribute power through the connecting coaxial cable. Mic stand-, wall-, and ceiling-mountable, the Shure UA870 is also weather resistant for use outdoors.
